Twice a year, the Kiwanis Club of Blue Ridge collects non-perishable food items for the Fannin County Food Pantry. This is a community service project supported by the local grocery stores, members of the club, and from many many thoughtful members of our community. Collection usually occurs at the four major grocery outlets during June and December.
If you see a Kiwanian at the door of your favorite grocery store, swing by the can food section and pick up a few extra. We’ll collect them from you on your way to the car and take them to the pantry. They are always in need of non-perishable protein items (peanut butter, canned meats, etc). Of course, the pantry collects food all year long and would be grateful for any donations – their website is http://fannin.gafcp.org .
